Now you finally have time to enjoy your hobbies and maybe even learn new skills!

Or maybe you feel like it’s too late to start learning to draw or paint.

It is never too late to learn a new skill and discover a new passion! The journey of self discovery and self improvement is ever evolving. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, if you’re interested and willing to try, these courses are for you!
Carmen studied Art at Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary and worked with several mediums including a variety of drawing materials, paints, and types of printmaking; experimented with sculpture such as woodworking, ceramics, and metalworking; and studied artists and their works from ancient times to the present. This broad spectrum of study has given Carmen a well rounded perspective on the world of art and she is excited to share it with you! You’ll be in a small group and a non-judgemental setting where you can relax and have fun! Enjoy a coffee and experience a whole new world!

Printmaking includes a wide range of techniques, many that are accessible to the beginner artist working at home or at our small studio. This course will give you a snapshot of a few types of printmaking including relief carving, silkscreening, paper marbling, and gelli printing. You will receive a complimentary sketchbook and with classes twice per week, it will feel like a fast paced course which will likely be preferred by some students. Working at home between classes will be limited due to the specific supplies that are needed. Printmaking is very process based and you will create several prints in a short time which will demonstrate your progress and development.
Please know that when you fill out our registration form, it is important that you include as many details about your history as an artist as possible because specific course content will vary depending on the interests and prior knowledge of those who are registered. You’ll get a customized experience tailored to who you are as a learner, including your skills and personal potential.
You'll get feedback specific to your needs!
